With so many exciting things going on at NorthClark these days, I felt compelled to write you a letter and bring you up to date. I will try to be brief and keep the “marketing fluff” to a minimum. Sandy Marino Provides Consulting Services for Manfact Customers
Just in case you haven’t heard by now, Sandy Marino has joined forces with NorthClark to provide consulting and education services. Many of you already know Sandy, as she has over 20 years experience with the Manfact software. Download the Latest Product Releases from NorthClark’s FTP Site
NorthClark customers who are on maintenance now have the ability to visit our FTP site and download the latest product releases and patches. Documentation and closed issue reports are also available. If you are not already familiar with the site, call Perri for a login name, password, and the nickel tour!
Upgrade Now! - New Automatic Desktop Application Upgrade Utility
Tired of visiting every client machine when new versions of your NorthClark Desktop Applications become available? Install the NorthClark Upgrade Utility on each client P.C., and it automatically checks for updates when the computer is booted. The System Administrator simply downloads the latest patches from our FTP site, copies them to a common folder on the network, and the NorthClark Upgrade Utility takes it from there!
This feature is provided at no charge for our customers who
are on maintenance, and will be generally available by July 1st.
Non-Persistent Connectivity
Most NorthClark applications now use a non-persistent connection when moving data to/from Manfact. This approach makes more efficient use of your Manfact and Universe user licenses since the connection is dropped while the application is idle (this is transparent to the user). Most recently, the Bill of Material, Part Number Search Query, and Cost Estimating modules were upgraded to use this technique. Current versions are available on the FTP site.
Coming Soon! Sales Order Query and Inventory Reservation System
Our new Sales Order Work Bench and Manual Inventory Reservation applications are currently in beta test. Does the phrase “allocation matrix” give you nightmares? This system streamlines the process of reserving material, and releasing sales orders for shipment.

Coming Soon! General Ledger Transaction Entry
The first release of our new General Ledger Work Bench is under development. It will include Journal Entry and Project Adjustment transactions with Excel import/export features.
